Galerie Forsblom is proud to inform about the upcoming exhibition of Jannis Varelas at the Benaki Museum in Greece.
The exhibition ANIMA I comprises a new series of paintings as the outcome of a process of performances and metamorphoses of the self. With these works Varelas goes back to the images of the body, exploring the gendered cultural representations of the human figure.
The Benaki Museum has recently initiated the Benaki Contemporaries program, that aims to bring its members closer to the Museum’s activities as well as to create unique cultural experience in Greece and abroad.
