Best of Forsblom 2020
Galerie Forsblom Stockholm
Until June 5, 2020

Galerie Forsblom presents a group exhibition with new and previously never shown artworks by our Swedish artists. Participating artists in the show are Hans Andersson, Matthias van Arkel, Ernst Billgren, Helena Blomqvist, Jenny Carlsson, Anna Engver, Linn Fernström, Charlotte Gyllenhammar, Johannes Hägglund, Jarl Ingvarsson, Juri Markkula, Marcus Mårtenson, Nicklas Randau and Martin Wickström.

The exhibition starts with Charlotte Gyllenhammar’s three-dimensional sculpture 'Hjässa (Crown)', Anna Engver’s discrete grey-scale charcoal work and Jenny Carlsson's dynamic portraits of nature. We linger a while in front of Linn Fernström’s large poetic painting ‘Omhålla i katedralen’, Helena Blomqvist fairy tale photographs and Hans Andersson works made of paper, subtle and unique.

In the large room we see Matthias van Arkel artworks made of silicon, a colorful and tactile experience. Ernst Billgren’s works on panel invite us to a dream landscape, while Johannes Hägglund depict the tints and patterns of nature. Martin Wickström’s expression is a close to precise rendering of our contemporary society, while Marcus Mårtenson’s pictograms gives us sharp comments on it. Nicklas Randau and Juri Markkula both work with monochrome color in two very different ways. In Jarl Ingvarsson’s works we return to nature and find everyday objects come to life.

The gallery is open by appointment. Welcome to book a private viewing of the exhibition: stockholm@galerieforsblom.com
