Press Release

Galerie Forsblom's 45th-anniversary exhibition

Galerie Forsblom, June 2–August 13, 2023

This summer, Galerie Forsblom is hosting a special group exhibition to mark the occasion of its 45th anniversary last November. The gallery was originally founded in Turku and moved to Helsinki five years later – this year thus also marks the 40th anniversary of its Helsinki opening. The featured artists are all prominent, long-established Finnish names with a long history of collaboration with Kaj Forsblom. The exhibition will present an ensemble of works by diverse artists through which they will engage in dialogue, each in their own unique style and technique. The show will feature paintings, sculptures, and a large-scale installation in the foyer of the Suomitalo building.

The exhibition features works by Peter Frie, Susanne Gottberg, Veikko Hirvimäki, Kaarina Kaikkonen, Ola Kolehmainen, Leena Luostarinen, Heikki Marila, Marika Mäkelä, Jarmo Mäkilä, Lars-Gunnar Nordström, Kim Simonsson, Raili Tang, Marjatta Tapiola, Marianna Uutinen and Rafael Wardi.
