Kerttu Saali joins the gallery's roster of artists.

We are pleased to announce the representation of Kerttu Saali, who joins the gallery's roster of artists.
 

Kerttu Saali (b. 1994) graduated from the Finnish Academy of Fine Arts in 2023. She has participated in many group exhibitions, including Young Artists 2023 at Kunsthalle Helsinki. Saali's paintings draw inspiration from light and color. Her sensory-driven process is triggered by perceptions of such things as sunlight piercing through a dense forest or the surface of rippling water. The patterned frames are challenging established conventions related to frames and framing. While the frame is usually treated as a protecting or containing element, in Saali's art, it is integral to the painting itself.
