Kim Simonsson: Moss People

Instituto Iberoamericano de Finlandia

March 6–April 19, 2024

New works by Kim Simonsson are on view in the gallery of the Finnish institute in Madrid. The exhibition opens on March 5 with an opening reception.

Kim Simonsson's works draw inspiration from the Nordic storytelling tradition. He combines classical sculpture's idiom with references to popular culture like computer games and Japanese manga. The works in the exhibition are part of the ongoing Moss People series, in which the ceramic figures covered with nylon fiber create their own world.
