Tapano Kokko, Viljami Heinonen and Ola Kolehmainen at Laukko Manor - PARADISE
June 11 - 17 August, 2025
This summer, the Restaurant Stable at Laukko Manor presents the lady of the manor’s lush favorite works from Laukko’s own art collection. The exhibition includes beloved art memories from past exhibition years. New works for the Paradise exhibition have been created this spring by Viljami Heinonen and Tapani Kokko.
The swirling, painterly bird-themed pieces in the restaurant hall are by Viljami Heinonen (b. 1986). Heinonen’s urban jungle paintings were previously featured in the Sanctuary (Pyhättö) exhibition in the summer of 2023.
In the buffet area, Fan Queen (Viuhkakuningatar) by Tapani Kokko (b. 1969) takes center stage. This ruggedly sculptural and astonishingly ornate masterpiece is joined this summer by the Butterfly Girls. In honor of Laukko Manor’s 10th anniversary summer, Kokko’s bold wooden sculptures have returned to the Pagan Chapel. The carnivalistic wooden sculptures displayed inside the chapel reflect memories from Kokko’s three-decade-long artistic career.
The exhibition also features photographs by internationally acclaimed contemporary photographer Ola Kolehmainen (b. 1964).
