Lotta Hannerz at the Watou Art Festival

Lotta Hannerz will participate with the works Doudours and Chaise-Soi in the 37rd edition of the Art Festival Watou. From 1st of July until 3rd of September the  Watou Art Festival takes over the village situated on the French border. The central theme is "solitude and unbearable lonelines," and the festival brings together collected stories of artists and poets. 

Lotta Hannerz was born in Stockholm in 1968 and lives and works in Paris and Stockholm. With a starting-point in the absurd banalities of everyday life, Hannerz' artistry make comments on cognitive findings and fallacies. Puns and games with characters and proportions make paintings, which occasionally break away from their actual two-dimensionality look further into the room.
